Thursday Tag #3: Book Blog Newbie Tag

Greetings Book People!

We meet again for my weekly book tag! Since self-introductory posts are never enough, I would love to do something that can make people know me better.

Here is my Book Blog Newbie Tag!

1) Why did you start this blog?

I really love reading and writing hence, I would like to express it in a proper medium like a blog instead of my own diary. I want people to acknowledge my opinion on books and I want to know people across the globe through reading and writing reviews.

2) What are some fun and unique things you can bring to book blogging?

I will do fun book tags and also book hauls in the future. I am also planning to do giveaways to my follower friends as a token of appreciation.

3) What are you most excited for about this new blog?

I am excited for the people who I get to know (future follower friends), actually! I wanna connect with people and ask them opinions on how could I improve this book blog to another level.

I am also excited to write reviews because I want to improve my writing and reviewing skills. My goal is to read and write critically by acknowledging and recognising important themes from books, so I could encourage more people to read.

4) Why do you love reading?

Reading is my form of escapism and travelling. You could go anywhere and anytime only by reading. The feeling of immersing yourself in a new and distant world away from you is priceless.. You could be lost in it..

5) What book or series got you into reading?

Books from Dr Seuss really got me into reading. The Cat in The Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Hop On Pop, those were my favourite when I was a kid.

6) What questions would you ask your favorite authors?

Questions like ‘What is your hobby besides writing and plotting great stuffs in your head?’ and ‘What is your favourite colour?’ would be mediocre. I think I would ask about ‘What is your favourite book and what drives and inspires you to write?’. Writers are very special people because they are blessed with specialities to inspire people.

7) What challenges do you think starting a blog will be the hardest to overcome?

The challenges are to write reviews constantly as well as writing critically and reasonably. I would try to write two reviews and 1 book tag per week as a start. I don’t wanna rush on writing too many reviews for the beginning because I want to organize my book blog steadily.

8) When did you start reading?

I could not remember when. Perhaps I start to develop my liking towards reading during kindergarten. So, I was 5/6 years old.

9) Where do you read?

On the sofa or at my desktop. Or anywhere with natural light. I could also read in a moving car, which is a treasured gift for readers. 😛

10) What kind of books do you like to read?

Anything YA. It can be contemporary, fantasy, sci-fi. I would love to try poetry sometimes. Friends on Twitter keep on raving about Heart by Ayesha Khan. That book is so pretty and I heard good stuffs about it. ❤

That’s my Book Blog Newbie Tag! I have been eyeing to do more interesting and fun tags from other book bloggers so stat tuned for next week’s tag! Good day to all of you! ❤

  1. Book reviews used to be SO HARD for me to write, but over time I’ve gotten used to it and have (hopefully) gotten better haha 😀
‘Meeting’ people from around the world that share the same love for reading is such an amazing thing and is one of the many reasons I love blogging so much!
